- With over 28 years experience in the field of Hospitality, Restaurants and Hotel security.
- Mr. Keates has been Security Manager for some of the Country’s top five star hotels including the Grosvenor House, The Waldorf Hotel, Le Meridien Piccadilly and the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire.
- National Security Manager for: Little Chef Restaurants, Travelodge Hotels, Forte Heritage Hotels, and Regional Security Manager for The Café Royal and Forte Hotels London.
- A Member of the Institute of Hotel Security Managers for the 17 years and has held the positions of Vice Chairman and secretary within the Institute.
- Part of the Metropolitan Police think tank Operation Podium a combined initiative between the Hotel industry and the police to combat Fraud in hotels during the build up to the 2012 Olympics.
- During his time in the industry he has built up a vast knowledge and expertise in his field and has established and cultivated a large number of contacts in the Security industry, Police and Government agencies.
- NFSP Ltd Trainer, BTEC LEVEL 3 trainer in Breakaway and Self defence, BTEC LEVEL 3 trainer in Conflict Management & Physical Intervention and is an experienced and licensed Karate instructor under the English Karate Federation (EKF).
