The next BTEC Level 3 Advanced Self Defence Instructors Qualifying Course is taking place between the 28th and 29th July 2012 being held at The Norman Booth Centre, Old Harlow Essex.
This course will give you all of the legal information you need to enable you to teach self-defence legally and effectively.
>As part of this course you will learn - first hand from qualified and experienced professionals what the law actually allows you to do.
In addition, you will also learn how and why some techniques work and others don't - an important factor when teaching people how to defend themselves in situations of high emotional arousal.
This course is a must for those of you who wish to acquire a Nationally Recognised BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Self Defence Instruction. In addition, once qualified you can deliver BTEC Level 2 Awards in Self Defence.

We are pleased to announce that Mr Paul Keates of Reikan Security Services Ltd has recently become a Member of the Security Institute. In order to be granted membership, applicants have to either undergo a rigorous validation process which reviews relevant work experience, training and qualifications or complete a period of study and academic qualification in a security-related subject.
The Security Institute has approximately 1000 members, and is the largest association for security professionals in the UK.
The Security Institute promotes the highest-possible standards of probity and professional competence in the business of security, by working with the public and private sectors, and with other security-related associations, by agreeing core standards, by networking and by encouraging excellence in training.
Mr Keates has worked in the security field for over 28 years specialising in Hotel security, he has held the position of Security manager at some of the countries top five star establishments including the Waldorf Meridien, The Café Royal and the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire. He has been national manager for Forte Heratage Hotels, Travelodge Hotels and Little Chef restaurants. In 1992 Mr Keates was awarded the Binney Memorial award for bravery presented by H.R.H Prince Charles Prince of Wales.
